Any recommendations for a realtor specializing in Travelers Rest as well as the Taylors and nearby north side of Greenville areas? Thanks!

Can you be a little more specific as to your needs. A Realtor might be familiar with the areas & has the means to get the information you need but may not necessarily specialize in both areas.

We are looking to buy a 4 bedroom house, preferably on a large lot, in either Traveler's Rest or the northern part of Greenville looking with $250,000 being the top end of our price range. We're also open to something that costs less that could be fixed up as long the renovations don't put us above $250,000.

If we're wanting to buy in one of these areas, wouldn't it be preferable that we get a realtor that specializes in them?

Yep, I thought your original post was quite specific. How else could you explain your need any more clearly.

Most real estate agents I know cover a a large area; all of the listings will be in the local MLS, along with all of the info to pull comps for a particular neighborhood. I think that is what was meant by the post above.

Thank you Big Red Beth, I was not trying to be rude. It is just that Travelers Rest and Taylors are two different areas. Most agents know one area better than another but do have the access to all the information to help. I just don't know of any Realtor that can truly be a expert in every town that the Upstate has to offer. For example, if I have someone in Spartanburg I usually refer it to a Spartanburg agent as that is not my area of expertise, although I have worked there. My client knew the area very well and she wanted me to represent her.
