Can't wait to see what the transformation of the old Schuyler building looks like. No doubt it will become a great asset to downtown Spartanburg. Too bad the same consideration isn't being given Scott Tower in Greenville. If it is in fact beyond rehabilitation I blame the city for not maintaining it. 40 years is not old for a building like Scott Tower.

That is the reason why Greenville's Scott Tower is imploding. It was not brought up to code.

With the Schuyler building undergoing rehab, the Montgomery building will come up for the same treatment.

It's kind of disappointing to see the developer and GC on the project are both from out of state. C'mon Greenville. C'mon.

Boncimio, Ashley. "Downtown Spartanburg 'turning the corner'." GSA Business. 2014-04-02. GSA Business. 2014-04-02. <http://gsabusiness.com/news/50978-downtown-spartanburg-lsquo-turning-the-corner-rsquo?rss=0>

GSA Business had a nice article in regards to the redevelopment of Drayton Mill; the mixed use retail, office and apartment space at the corner of Broad and Wall streets; and the reuse of the Schuyler building.

A mixed-use development appears one step closer to going up behind Spartanburg Marriott. I do not know if this is directly behind it, or nearby behind Chapman Cultural Center.
