My husband and I are looking for a church in Greenville area. We went to a church in douglasville ga where their tag line was church for people that don't do church. We are looking fior a laid back approach to religion. We have tried some non denominational churches that are too judgemental and are like typical bible belt holier than thou churches with contempary flair but once they get to know us thry get all snooty. You'll just have to keep trying churches. Nobody knows what you consider snooty and judgemental.
Maybe try the Redemption World Outreach Center on Haywood Rd. That sounds like what you want.
We go to Mauldin United Methodist Church and love all the people we've met so far. Their "Live" service at 11 a.m. is contemporary and pretty laid back!

Several of my friends have highly recommended Westminster Presbyterian Church on Augusta St., although I have not personally taken their suggestions. They keep telling me how friendly the church is. From their descriptions, it sounds like it might be what you are looking for.
Haywood mall is a nice hangout with your friends on Sundays.
