Recently noticed that the real estate sign advertising the empty lot next to Staples/KFC on North Pleasantburg (across from Cherrydale) is marked "Gone"
Does anyone know who is taking this spot? It is a decent size.

Walmart Supercenter at North Pleasantburg Drive and Furman Hall Road
The only empty space would be the northeast corner of North Pleasantburg Drive and Furman Hall Road. This is to become a Walmart Supercenter store. There are no set dates regarding its construction and opening.
Several topics exist in regards to the future Walmart Supercenter store in the Cherrydale trade area:
Best Buy or Circuit City would have been practical in the Cherrydale trade area 15 years ago. Major electronics and appliances stores have not fared well in recent years. Circuit City went out of business nearly six years ago.
If H.H. Gregg or Conn's opened additional Greenville area stores in the Cherrydale trade area, either could succeed.
The Q&Amy section of Greenvilleonline has been informative on some of these questions. Here is the latest. Wow didn't realize two years have gone by almost since that WM was announced. Dragging on this project.

I will agree. Most new Walmart Supercenter stores are being built without the tire and lube express department.
