Rune Graffiti & Pagans? (Greer, Norway: moving, activities, racist)

I have an acquaintance who works for the Greer PD. The other day he was mentioning some issue they were having with two types of related activities.

One was, there's been quite a bit of Rune based graffiti in the area recently. The other was some reports of minor scuffles between local Muslims and (of all things) area Pagans.

My GreerPD contact seems to feel like there is some sort of racist Nordic pagan (like Thor worship and stuff) coming into the area and they like to harass local Muslims.

I tried to look online for more info, but couldn't find anything. Anyone else heard anything?

This post seemed a bit crazy at first, but I actually can remember some neo-nordic, neo-nazi kids in Colorado years ago getting into trouble.

That guy who massacred all those kids in Norway was a part of that ideology, I think.

I seriously doubt there is any real worry about "pagans" moving into the area and causing much real trouble, probably home-grown kids gone astray in their youth.

But any hate group should be monitored by police once rhetoric turns into threats or real violence.

What's your concern, exactly? Are you Muslim?

Yeah, I've heard of some neo-nazis adopting paganism and occultism.

I'm not muslim, but I am against hurting people based on their religion. Plus the last thing this area needs is a racist gang to make us Southerners look even more bigoted than people already think we are.

Plus, I just find interesting.
