My son is about to turn 3 and needs ear tubes after chronic infections.
We finally got pricing through PRISMA/GHS and it is $5,000. We have insurance but have not met our deductible. I am seeing the national average UNINSURED is between $2000-3000.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with getting tubes for a toddler? Any local ENT? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Hehe, I have experience but you probably don't want it. It was many years ago when my son was about that age and at that time it was a pretty big deal, but now it's a routine procedure. Not knowing which systems are in network and your insurance provider, it would be hard to suggest someone. Don't forget you also have the convenience of Spartanburg regional which my wife uses for some of her tests and is very happy with. They're conveniently located on Hwy 14 and that's where the EMT my wife uses us located.
