The former Colonial Inn/Travel Inn site at 755 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, South Carolina 29609-4939, the northwest corner of Wade Hampton Boulevard and Brookside Circle in the City of Greenville, South Carolina, is being redeveloped into Hillview, a 61-unit townhouse community.

Hillview looks to be a nice community on paper. It will help improve the Wade Hampton Boulevard corridor into downtown.

Is this next to that original IHOP location? It will be nice to see this corridor revitalized.

It is just a few doors down towards downtown from IHOP, across Brookside Circle. The Sunset Inn (immediately adjacent to IHOP on the other side) is still there. One has to imagine that if the Wade Hampton corridor is further developed then the Sunset Inn site would become a potential target.

Older motor lodges that are not nuisances will remain. Sites will be targeted for redevelopment opportunities indeed.
