Hi everyone. Been checking out NC and SC for relocation from WA State. For those who live in Greenville...how do you like it? Is it really humid in the summer? Is it expensive to live there? How’s the traffic? Tell me all the good bad and ugly things! Thanks in advance. The thing that attracted me to that area is being near the mountains and not too far from the beach.

What do you like about Greenville besides being near mountains and not far from beaches.

I liked the look of the city. Very modern but quaint.

Are you looking to be in downtown, or would you like to be a distance away?

Its hot, its humid, its the south so pretty much normal summer weather. As I type this its 93 outside. Traffic can be bad at times especially rush hour(s).

With 45% humidity. And it will be hot and humid for another two months.

The South is not the place if you don’t tolerate hot and humid.

The NC mountains are cooler but cold and snowy in winter.

Best of luck.

Traffic here is going to seem like nothing compared to Seattle.

It is indeed very hot and humid. It's currently 93 F with a heat index of 98 and we haven't hit the high for the day yet.

We are relatively close to the mountains and within a weekend trip distance to the beach.

This area will feel very conservative compared to most of WA state. That could be a good thing, bad thing, or not a factor depending on who you are.

Default thanks for the reply

Yeah the traffic is sooooooo bad in Seattle.
How bad is it?
Well you can start out being 40 years old and end up being 50 by the time you get to your destination.
Just kidding, but it's bad.
Yeah my hubby does not like humidity but at least the rest of the year isn't horrendous!
And as far as conservative, I'll take it!

It just depends on what we find. Still just considering the area and looking around.
