Where can you get a real Philly cheese steak? Is there anyplace around that gets the rolls shipped in?

I have not yet been able to find anywhere around here with something close to a Philly cheesesteak.

I found a place in University Square near Furman, and sadly cannot remember the name of it, but it's probably the closest I've come to the real thing. I believe it was Torrelli's Pizza, but I can't remember for sure.

There isn't one that I have found.. There's a few good steak sandwiches.. But none of them would I classify as a Philly Steak..

The second go-round of Great Steak and Fry in the mall was close.. But the roll wasn't right.. Though they did have Cheese Whiz, which.. Honestly, there's so many different 'authentic' Philly steaks.. Hard to say whether that is a requirement.. I don't like the Whiz..

The best steak sandwiches that you can get around here are generally the Pizza places that make them in the oven.. House of Pizza, there's probably 50 more that do it.. They're pretty good.. Not authentic, but.. Good. The guy who owns Bikas Drive In bragged that he made the best Philly in Greenville.. I had one.. It was OK.. But, admittedly, i'm something of a Philly Cheesesteak snob.

Surprisingly.. The best I ever had was at the Philly airport.. Was laid over there for a while, stopped at a small no-name shop that had them on the menu.. It was incredible.

Philly Connection was in Simpsonville and was in Boiling Springs for a while.. Those were quite good. Both have shut down though.. Simpsonville has been gone for years.. While BS was only there about a year.

Okay, you're going to think I'm nuts but keep in mind I haven't actually tried it yet. Dave and Busters (entertainment center/Woodruff road) menu has a philly cheese steak on it and in the description it states the rolls are shipped in from philly.

I've enjoyed many good sandwiches at Subs & Clubs behind Haywood Mall.
