I am not talking about Broadway at the Beach or Barefoot Landing. I am talking about the new shopping/living center located on the old Air Force Base. It is called Market Common. Check it out at marketcommonatmyrtlebeach.com.
That place is sweet from the pics on the website. That's what I'm saying we need here. Get people outside and walking, mingling, dining on patio's, shopping, entertainment....all in one place. A village type setting like the website says.

What noodle posted is more of the way I think of a lifestyle center. Greenridge is really nice, but I'll stick to the "hybrid" term.
How many people at Greenridge do you see walking from one section of the center to another with bags in their hand? Most are just looking for their cars so they can park 6 rows over.
I'm just saying that factually, from the industry, Greenridge is a lifestyle center. Atlantic Station is a mixed use development.
If you want to see people walking, having fun, strolling, listening to music, dining outside, entertainment, etc. check what Greenville has that very few other Southeastern cities have....a true downtown.
I dont think Greenville will get another mall. I actually hope they dont. I think Sears should move to Magnolia and Nordstrom could take its place. After that, the cheap stores (Aeropostale, Payless, Radioshack, etc.) can move there too and be replaced by real stores like Sephora, Brooks Brothers, Lacoste, bebe, Cole Haan, Louis Vuitton, Kenneth Cole, etc. More like The Street at South Point. Maybe another parking deck in front of Nordstrom. I would like it to be a hybrid of the current mall and SouthPark.
