Hey everyone, I'm (25yr old male professional) going to be visiting Greenville soon to check out some places for the possibility of an upcoming move next year.... I have listed below some of the things I'm looking for in a neighborhood, I would greatly appreciate some names of neighborhoods that seem to fit this description;

Low crime (and safe for a female to walk around alone)
Nice area (scenic, activities, shopping, good restaurants etc..)
Nice people, young professionals
Nice, newer housing that is steady or growing
Pet friendly (dog parks)
Good schools
House prices $250k ish
Rent prices roughly $1200/month (we will prob rent for the first year)

Thanks so much everyone!

North Main and Cleveland Park both fit most of your description, except they are older areas (new homes are being built on vacant lots) and the pricing of these areas can go much higher than 250ish.

Also check out Verdae. A new development being built intown. The first piece of the development was a signature park, open to the public. Homes are being built around the park. All new construction.

Default neighborhoods

You may want to look in the historic area of Hampton Pinckney as well. There has been some revitilization there and some affordable condos. I agree with North Main as well. Around the Augusta Rd. area you might get lucky. E. Faris or W. Faris.

I noticed a for rent sign on University Ridge today right off McDaniel. I think those units are duplexes. I live a street over and I love it here. It is across from Cleveland Park (which has a dog park) and is probably well under 1K. This is a pretty pricey neighborhood, and convenient to downtown.
