Hello to everyone. Still raining here....we had to take a trip to a town an hour away because my girlfriends one hearing aid quit working and she can't hear anything without them. She got them at Cosco so the nearest one was an hour away. She had to get a loaner pair while they sent hers out. I went to my Chiropractor first, then to Cosco and then home. Another long day. She should have her own hearing aid back by Monday. When they were trying to repair the one hearing aid they tried to put a new download in both ear pieces and the download failed ruining both hearing aids so they are giving her new ones!! That made her very happy. So all was not lost. We decided to take today to relax as it seems every time we go out it costs us so much money! I do have to have "405" my kitty I found on the 405 freeway in CA when she was a tiny baby, to get her tooth checked this morning as she has been pawing at it and I know it is hurting her. My step mother sent me some Christmas money so that should cover most of that appointment. God is good!

Thank you elston---she is wonderful indeed!
Well I had to leave my kitty with the vet but he is done and my bill is about twice what I had figured but at least she will feel better now! The Dr had to sedate my kitty as she had a bad abscess. He also cleaned her teeth so she is in good shape now!

Unfortunately vet bills are always more than you expect....just like cars always breakdown just about the time the income tax refund comes in......at least for people who can least afford it.

Almost NYE........I hope that each one who is hurting and who has been attempting to heal after loss.....is able to start the new year with hope and expectation. "Nozomi" Hope in Japanese. May you turn a corner and see more light. (The Buddha said...."make of yourself a light".) In a dark and lonely world...that would be a blessing.

We have decided to stay home tonight, NYE, since neither of us slept well last night. Because my kitty is so old it took her a very long time to come off the anesthesia so I had her sit in my lap until 9:30 pm but was up every hour checking on her which I'm sure was part of the reason my girlfriend could not sleep with the doors opening and closing all night. Now today is work but my girlfriend has decided to stay home and putter around and read. She is worried about getting lost if she takes my car. With the horrible weather we have been having it is probably just as well. I do hope this next year will be much better then last year. Hope everyone has a lovely New Year's Eve!

Went to bed at 8:30 last night and up at 5 this morning. I was so tired. My dear girlfriend made some yummy spaghetti so I went to bed with a full tummy and slept well! I wish I had more things to offer to do with her but there just isn't a lot around here. We are considering a day trip to the beach next week. Leave really early and spend the day there. Hope everyone had a safe fun New Years Eve!!
