I just learned that an elder in my Quaker Meeting passed away yesterday.....it was not unexpected....but he was such a strong voice of faith and power .... that is hard to think of him as gone. Larry Butler was a teacher, a preacher, and a faithful witness and a friend to me. He was the last of the founders of my meeting. I will surely miss him.
What a shame, elston. I am sorry. Sounds like he was a wonderful man. He will not be forgotten though. You and I am sure others, carry on all that he taught you.

Good afternoon btw to all.
The clerk of our meeting reminded us that this past First Day (Sunday) Friend Larry was there and told us....
That the gospel according to John was the favorite of Quakers over the years.
Prophetically he told us:
John14:1-4
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have not told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am, you will be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”
Good Afternoon everyone. It was sad going to meeting this morning....but it turned out to be very helpful in processing our loss. The memorial service hasnt been scheduled yet....but still we had guests who had their own connection with Larry who came today. It was good to be in the midst of Friends; everyone is experiencing the loss....and is supportive of one another.
