I'm looking for recommendations for a good lawyer who works with gun ownership issues.

The main reason is I'm considering setting up an NFA trust. But I have other questions as well. There are nuances and caveats. So I need more than just a NFA trust specialist.

Yes, I have heard of Google. I'm looking for a *recommendation* from a *person* based on confidence and personal experience.

But, of course I done searches and I keep turning up these guys:

Buy a Gun Trust | NC Gun Trust - North Carolina Gun Trust Lawyer - James Barrett Wilson & Associates

Based on the presentation of their website, they look a little "Better Call Saul" to me. But what do I know? Maybe they're great.

Has anyone worked with them? Would you recommend them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I would suggest these questions are too specialized for a national forum. [mod cut]

In the vast world wide web just about every state has a dedicated gun owners forum where you can post your question and you would get a localized response. Recommend you post your questions here:
North Carolina Gun Owners

What kind of nuances and caveats are there in setting up an NFA trust?

Look up Grass Roots NC (Grass Roots North Carolina - Home). Get contact info for Paul Valone. He should know a few attorneys. He and GRNC have been fierce advocates for Right to Bear Arms. Every state should be so fortunate to have such a state level organization.

I am sure you are good, just want to make sure everyone does their due diligence because you will be dealing with a bondsman like myself if you don't .
What are you talking about? North Carolina doesn't require licensing nor registration to own ANY firearm, and has no special restrictions nor requirements for NFA items beyond that which is required at the Federal level.
