I just accepted a job in Norfolk and will be moving there around the end of October. I'll be coming from just across the state (Shenandoah Valley), and since I was in the Navy, I am somewhat familiar with the general HR area, but I don't really know neighborhoods. My new job is in the Woodbine area (Corporate Boulevard), and I will be living in temporary housing until my wife is ready to move with me from the Valley. I would like to get a furnished place (we'll have enough furniture to move next year), and one that accepts dogs (have 2 that will come for visits with my wife when she comes over on some weekends). So far, I've found the following possible apartments: Holly Point (about 5 miles from the job); Banyan Grove at Towne Square (about 8 miles away); The Crossings at Redmill (Sandbridge area?); and Chase Arbor. I don't need much room, and my monthly budget is about $1200.

Thanks!

One is an 8-yr. old Golden Retriever/Airedale mix (think Sandy from Little Orphan Annie) and the other is a 2 yr. old Beagle. A 65 lb dog and a 25 lb one.

I'd chose Red Mill in Sandbridge area.
