Hello
I will be new in the Portsmouth VA area. Actually I will be very new to the whole east coast area. I took on a job with the Portsmouth Naval Medical center and am looking for suggestions on where to live or which schools to look into! I will work 3/12 hrs shifts a week so will more thanl likey need info on great daycare or after school program in any or Hampton road area!! Please help! Any suggestions will much appreciated!!

colonial day school in Norfolk is very good. great staff. been there 35 years.

I can't comment on daycare over there but I have friends with kids in the Western Branch school district in Chesapeake and they are very happy with it. It would also be a pretty manageable commute to the medical center without having to cross any tolls if you lived in that part of the city. Good luck!
