Hi. Our house sold fast and we need to find somewhere to rent short term that will allow pets until we can find another house to buy. We need to be out of our place by July 1, 2015. If anyone knows of places that do short term leases I'd appreciate knowing where to look.

When are you moving? End of June 2015
Where are you coming from? Harrisburg
Why are you moving? House sold fast, need somewhere to stay until we find something else
Where will you be working? Palmyra and Harrisburg

Will you buy or rent? Rent

If renting, are you looking for an apartment, a townhouse or loft? How much can you spend?
Do you prefer hi-rise or walk up? Since we only have a month to find something, apartment, townhouse or loft is fine as long as pets are allowed.

Are you married or single? Married Do you have children? No
Do you have pets? Yes
Do you want or need a yard? It would be nice
Are you keeping a car? Yes - 2
Do you prefer bustling activity or calm and quiet? Prefer calm and quiet

What do you want to be closest to? Doesn't matter
Work
Shopping
Basic services (supermarket, drugstore, etc.)
Nightlife
Train or subway stations

Do you want to live with people of a similar age, race, religion or sexual preference or do you prefer a diverse neighborhood? Doesn't matter

Thanks for your help!

There are apartment complexes that do short term rentals that allow pets but it will cost you. These complexes want you committed to at least a year and I heard about one that is now pushing 18 month leases. Colonial Park has these type of places, maybe other areas right outside Harrisburg has them too, but not sure. Also, this time of year could be dicey getting a place. Colonial Park could be a starting point for you, The Brook and Lakewood Hills allows pets.

Best of wishes in finding a place. I hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure Madison Heights does short term, and I know they are pet friendly.

You can try Springford too.

And check apartmentguide.com for more possibilities!

Apartmentguide.com <333
Most places seem to want to lease 12+months at a time. And have been noticing many places have the cheapest monthly rates if you go with a 14 month plan, at least the ones I am checking out.
I would also check on Craigslist, sometimes month to month leased properties show up there. Usually they are only for rooms, not entire apartments. Not sure if you'd be interested in that or not.

If you use Craigslist, make sure you check the box that says pets.
