My husband works in excavating. His claim was opened in Dec 2015. He broke his wrist the end of Feb 2016 while on unemployment. Claim was closed and he went on private short term disability. Went back to work in June 2016. Laid off again for 4 weeks in Oct/Nov. (Same claim was reopened) Went back to work in Nov/Dec. Claimed a partial week in Dec due to rain. Laid off again on Monday(Dec 19). The last day of this claim is Dec 24. What happens now? Does he open a new claim or is there some kind of extention? The claim is open right now. Just declined the last 2 weeks because he was working. Next file date is January 1, 2017- January 6. He has not changed employers for the last 6 yrs if that matters.
