Does this surprise you? Has your opinion changed one way or the other? What do you think the future holds for the ACA?

from that article....

"Still, for the time being, the survey’s findings are more good news for the White House—which has enjoyed a slew of recent polls suggesting that the public’s perception of the ACA is beginning to improve.

Just last week, The New York Times and the Kaiser Family Foundation released a poll showing that the majority of people in Republican-dominated southern states said they favor keeping the law and making fixes to it, rather than repealing it

Bad News (such as Oct 1, Rollout) spreads like wildfire in a dried timber mill. Good news trickles in like water up hill. The GOP made the best of the disastrous computer glitches and difficulty in signing up.
Now, pretty much fixed, the actual positive effects of the law are beginning to be seen and more importantly understood. Will it be enough good news to take us to the Nov. primaries to be able to preserve and keep this much needed reform? Only time will tell.

The people they poll has changed. Very little has been fixed. You can fix a Yugo after you have a chance to drive it for a while, that doesn't make it a good car.

"Only time will tell". That is how things should work?

No surprise here.

But I don't place much trust in polls. Lets see what happens in November.

Not really: The egoistic avarice of the right-wing prompted them to project the message that if ACA is passed, the Four Horses of the Apocalypse will arrive a week later. When that didn't happen, support for the deception the Republicans perpetrated on the American public faltered.

Ideally, the Republicans will come to their senses and surrender, agreeing to replace ACA with a more fiscally conservative universal healthcare program that throws no additional poor people off a cliff, but accomplishes its aims without the expensive overhead associated with placating pro-business interests.

More reasonably, ACA will follow the same path that Medicare has.

> The people they poll has changed.

This is probably true, as good procedure is to poll different people each time.

However the IMPLICATION is that the poll is flawed, an assertion that was not supported by any evidence.

The original article goes into much more detail, I'm not a fan of Yahoo: Democrats’ support for Obamacare surges Keep in mind, the dust has not settled yet.

Republican leaning insurance guru at a healthcare seminar last week said GOP needs to remember majority of the people in US want ACA "fixed" - not repealed.

Yep. Forcing people to sign up and then using those numbers to signify "approval" is a joke. As people get sick and find out that they have no insurance until a $4000-$10000 deductible is met, their approval will turn to disgust. My previous plan had a $250 deductible and so my actual "benefits" kicked in almost immediately every year.

Not where I come from. People still hate it and know everything about it is a lie.

All these ka-zillions signing up is a joke. When they get their first bill, they won't pay. It will come crashing down. But the 0-administration will continue to lie.

It's hilarious to watch.
