Hello Everyone,
My mother just enrolled in Medi-Cal and is offered two plans to chose from
Anthem Blue Cross Plan
Santa Clara Family Health Plan
Some details about her :
64 yrs old (will turn 65 soon)
no severe health issues other than usual old age issues
had severe asthma about 30 years back but completely cured since almost 20 yrs
has borderline chronic coughing issue. Most days just slight coughing here and there. But almost 1-2 days a months it is quite severe lasting for 15-20 at a stretch 2-3 times a day, specially at night.
We are not two familiar with either of the two plans. The reason I gave detail medical description above is if that makes a difference in selecting one plan over other.
Please share your thoughts.
P.S. : I tried to search for relevant threads here but couldn't find any. If you are aware of a good one let me know and I can delete my thread.
