I just turned 50 a few months ago. I'm in very good health which can be attributed to regular exercise. Now, there are two things which have noticeably changed right after turning 50. They don't seem to be necessarily bad. However, I do consider them somewhat odd.
The first thing which has changed is the amount of sweat I produce during a workout. As it was, I use to sweat quite a bit prior to turning 50. But now it's almost embarrasing. It looks as if someone poured a bucket of water over me. It's so profuse that I now have to ring my shirts over the bathroom sink at the gym after each workout. This doesn't seem to be a bad thing but, what has caused this change?
The second "oddity" is an increased tolerance to cold tempearatures. Admitedly, the region I currently reside in is not susceptible to severe winters. At worse, temps will drop into the 30's at night. Yet, I've noticed an increased tolerance from even a year ago. I'm able to get by with nothing more than a thermal shirt, when my counterparts are bundled up in flannels + jackets. This was not the case in the past. I, like most everyone else, required a nice warm jacket when stepping outside. But not anymore. I've always been under the impression that the older one gets, the LESS tolerable one becomes of colder temperatures? What gives?
Can anyone weigh in as to the reasons for these changes?
