My son told us he got belly pain last night after church service and play time with his friends. He told us he actually had belly pain last morning after breakfast. Still feel pain this morning. My wife think he had fever last night but not this morning.

He is five and half years old. Don't have vomiting, diarrhea, or other symptoms. Just pain. I can touch his belly. It is soft, he don't feel uncomfortable when I touched him.

Based on my limit research so far, his pain isn't serious. But I still want to know some basic information and medical terminologies if we decide to ask his pediatrician or nurse for help. We normally could just call Rush hospital chicago pediatrician office and talk to a nurse, they normally will suggest if we need to bring kids in or not.

Anyone could help? Thanks in advance for your help.

How about a quick trip to your son's pediatrician or the local walk-in clinic?? Asking for medical advice on a chat forum isn't the best idea. What would happen if we told you not to worry and he is fine... and then he has a serious issue. Why would you rely on us for something that important?

Stomach pain can be serious. There can be a myriad of other problems such as his appendix and he may be confusing it for the stomach. As a parent I would take him to a doctor instead of asking in a forum.

Just want to report back and finish up this thread. My son is fine several days ago after 1 day off the school. I planned to take him to the doctor and my wife didn't want to do it. She knew him.

My wife is the person love him most in the world although i think I am. If she said no I got to listen.

Thank you guys for all of your help and suggestion.
