I think I have reactive hypoglycemia- Im writing this at 2pm and this is usually a bad time to write as I feel sleepy, but anyway, this is my schedule and I was wondering if someone with more experience can recommend a better approach in my daily eating habit.. I'm 26 and in pretty good physical condition.

wake up at 6:30, feeling great
eat couple pieces of ham and 2 eggs, drink 1 cup of coffee with honey, feeling great
go to work by 8, have a coke-sip it for hours
Around 12-1pm- I can feel my body screaming for food- go to a subway, have a 6inch sub- sometimes I feel faint standing in the line for a sub, cause I can smell the food?
3-5pm - I would never tell my employer but by this point, my brain is mushy and I can't think straight at this point, I'm not coming up with good ideas at this time of the day, I still do work organizing things and doing mundane paperwork.
5:30pm - Because I don't eat alot at work I eat a big dinner, and there's the big crash and feel extremely sleepy. Then I nap for half an hour waking up at around 6:30pm.
After this, I feel great again, like I do every morning!!

That's my daily schedule and I would like to improve on this, especially on afternoon and early evening portion of the day, can someone recommend how I can control the condition better?

Cut out the coke. Have a healthy snack about 10 a.m. and about 3 p.m., bring baby carrots or a granola bar or a piece of fruit.

Hypoglycemia goes hand in hand with an exaggerated insulin response (Hyperinsulinemia). One of the best ways to avoid both hypos and a high insulin response is to cut out all of the simple carbs from your diet, a low carb diet is best. Soda, Bread, honey.....yeah, all of these will cause you trouble. I used to have many of the same symptoms ( Still do if I do not watch it) as you. What works best for me is to follow an Atkins-type diet.

Thanks for your suggestion. Instead of a coke, I have an apple with water, and I feel much better already!!
