I noticed a little speck or a freckle in my right eye an hour ago when I looked at myself in the mirror. I don't feel it, it doesn't hurt nor is it affecting my vision ( knock on wood).

I rinsed out my eye, used an eye drop and used a Q-tip with no luck.

I was outside playing with my dogs earlier in a woodsy area.

However, I'm feeling deeply concerned about this. I'm scared it might be cancer, a parasite or a tick.

The spot is on the area of my eye where the white and colored part meet. It's relatively small and just looks like a small dot. It just appeared all of a sudden. It wasnt on my eye earlier before or today.

Anyone know what this may be?

Thank you in advance.

I would be shocked if it was a tick. I think that would hurt! Not to alarm you, but a spot like that can be melanoma. I'd get it checked out sooner rather than later.

not to be rude but I find posts like this not helpful at all!!!!!!!!
Let us not always go straight to the melanoma diagnosis.
If unsure,as I am,isn't it best to simply say..........I have no idea what that could be. I'm glad you aren't in any pain. Try to not worry because it may not be anything serious-at all and worrying won't help. DO call to get an appt. sooner than later. Please update once you get a diagnosis.

Don't worry...you would have noticed it earlier if it was cancer(not suddenly in one day)...kinda doubt it's a tick...maybe you burst a small vessel, or you poked it while in the bush...Personally I`d just keep my eye on it(or other eye) for a few days and see if it`s not something that will clear up on it`s own.......maybe put some antibiotic eye drops in once a day as a precaution for infection....good luck.
