I'm a lover of the cold/grey weather and I HATE heat, so I want to move somewhere cooler and less buggy and sticky. I know where I want to go(WA state), so that's not the issue. It's my Raynaud's that really bothers me. I want to toughen up and not be so shivery and weak, even when it's warm out. Can you ward off the phenomenon with diet? Medicine?
There is medicine you can take to improve circulation. Check with your doctor. I have this, and it is a pain when your fingers turn numb and you are fumbling with keys. Also if you smoke, stop. This will help. I used to love cold weather and lived in some very cold places, but just couldn't take it anymore. Where I am now we still have winter, just not as bad. So if you move to a colder place you will need to take more precautions.
Kind of late to post but.... man I wish I could switch places with you. I have Raynaud's and I live in Michigan and it's AWFUL. Seriously, it's so painful and makes it hard to move. However bad you feel, you'll feel 10x worse. You can take calcium blockers from your Rheumatologist but it doesn't stop it, it just makes the attacks happen less.
