I did a CD search and nothing came up for Felty's Syndrome and I'm wondering if anyone on here has heard of it, dealt with it or knows someone who has it. My mother has had severe rheumatoid arthritis for more than 30 years now and about 8 years ago she discovered that she also had Felty's Syndrome, which causes your spleen and lymph nodes to become swollen, gives you a low white blood cell count and other symptoms that often mimic the ravages that RA causes in a person's body.
Does anyone here have any experience with Felty's at all? TIA
Yes, I've checked out a lot of websites. My mother was diagnosed with it several years ago and it seems to have gotten worse in the last few years and now she has masses in a few parts of her body that her internist is thinking are cancer, specifically breast cancer. Felty's can cause masses to form in the body so we're all hoping that they are related to that and aren't cancer. She's getting biopsies next week and we'll have the results by the end of the week.
