Was wondering how much fluid these would hold as i'm about to go on a Xcountry road trip, since my last big trip i've developed some bladder control issues which isnt a problem in my normal everyday routine but driving for days on end i;m sure i'm going to run into a stretch/s where there is no rest area when i need one.
Any thoughts or experiences with this apparel
Thanks

You might do better to keep a urinal container in the car, one with a lid. Something like this: MedPro Portable Male Urinal with Snap-On Lid | Walgreens

My dad uses Depends and they leak. They're good for a small amount of urine but anything more than that comes right out of them. When he sleeps, my mom puts two layers of Depends on him and then another, thicker disposable brief over those. She puts disposable pads on the bed under him, and changes his briefs every four hours, but they still get leaks in the bed four or five nights a week. It's surprising that the Depends leak so badly, considering my dad is on a liquid restriction and only drinks two liters of liquid a day.

Thanks.
ok i guess Depends are out,
i ordered a device called a Stadium Pal https://www.stadiumpal.com/ but i cant get it to fit properly.
Peeing in a bottle may look good on paper but in fact is an almost impossible task to accomplish while driving.
I'm sure theres a product out there that will fit my needs but i just cant find it, any one got any other viable ideas?
Thanks

Well, you'd have to pull over to do it, peeing in a bottle while driving would not be a good idea. Stopping at least once an hour to get out and stretch your legs is good for your health and your comfort anyhow...the older we get, the harder it is to spend 4 hours in a car in a single stretch.

Usually where the problem with pads or diapers leaking comes in is the amount of liquid that they will absorb at once...it's easy to make something that will absorb lots of small amounts of liquid but when that liquid comes out all at once, it's too much to be absorbed right away and it will end up spilling out the sides. So a lot of the products they sell in the drugstore are designed more to absorb small amounts of urine that are accidentally released, rather than a big gush of liquid.

When my dad was in a rehab facility after surgery, they provided diapers that actually kept the bed dry at night, but they weren't the kind that pull up like a pair of briefs and my mom says those are too difficult to put on my dad because he won't cooperate. They also sell liners for adult diapers that will increase the amount of liquid that can be absorbed.

I have the smallest bladder. Ever. I have never had an issue finding a restroom. I've driven in very rural places.

When my wife was suffering with dementia, her urinary catheters would last a few days. Even the urologist didn't have answers and I was worn out changing them. So I had to keep putting Depends on her and even with a special insert, they didn't hold much. She went through six every 24 hrs.

Maybe Depends are less "dependable" for men, due to shape of the pad? I had to resort to them when dealing with a urinary tract infection a few years ago. No big problems.

Although... who would want to keep one on for long, after having to use it? I relied on them till the antibiotic kicked in, because I wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of not making it to the loo in time. I still had the opportunity to change out of it pretty soon after though.

For a long car drive, I guess the bottle or jar suggestion would make sense... I've heard of long haul truckers doing that.

There is an alternative, called "Always" which might be more absorbable than Depends. Available right next to the Depends. They make something like a stick-on Kotex pad for woman who leak.
