Skin Infection (dermatologist, arms, prescription, shoulders)

About 2 weeks ago i started seeing red marks on my arms and shoulders,went to dermatologist who suspects a fungal infection,she took a chunk of skin and sent it off to be analysed and gave me some creams and potions to apply while waiting for the results to return.
any one else have a fungal condition in the skin? what did you do to eliminate the problem..

It looks like ringworm but there are skin conditions that look similar, but aren't ringworm. That'd be the most likely guess though. If that's what it is you'd probably apply a prescription medicine instead of over the counter stuff, twice a day for a few weeks.
