Hi, Tdurkee. We're not ignoring you, it's just that you asked if anyone was having trouble from one, and almost nobody ever does. Pineal cysts are not rare (occur in 1-2% of all people) but only cause symptoms in 1% of all brain pathology cases.

It's a good bet you have pains in your head/neck AND also just happen to have a pineal cyst.
Your doc is probably evaluating you for all the routine, common causes of those pains-- arthritis, TMJ, dental, aural, sinus problems etc. He ordered the MRI and just happened to find something unexpected but probably not contributing (hopefully). ...It'll be interesting to see what the neurologist says.
