Overall stroke is the third largest killer after cancer and heart disease, so I cannot believe that in men alone accidents kill more than stroke.
Stroke is definitely the number 1 cause of disability in the USA.
It says that the figures come form the CDC-

On a different note-did the guy really write
This week is National Men's Health Week, which was created by Congress in 1994 to raise the awareness of the health threats uniquely facing men. To commemorate, we’ve put together a list of the most popular ways to die as a man in America

Everyone dies. People live until there is a cause of death. As we eliminate many traditional causes of death, the ones that remain become the new causes of death.

In some countries, mainly in Africa, one baby out of 5 or 6 dies before reaching the age of one. More than that, in rural areas far from medical facilities and safe water supplies. None of the "top 5 killers of men" cause any of those infant deaths.

If we learn to treat or cure or prevent heart disease and cancer and stroke, something else will become the top five killers of men.

Here are the top five killers, worldwide, and how many million they kill. Cancer is not in the top five:

Ischaemic heart disease 7.25
Stroke and other cerebrovascular disease 6.15
Lower respiratory infections 3.46
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease 3.28
Diarrhoeal diseases 2.46

I assumed the OP was talking about the USA as he didn't say, and it was an article from a US magazine.

IHD,STROKE and CANCER are diseases of developed countries. Of course undeveloped countries will have different top killers of men.

Becasue they're infants and the OP was talking about diseases that kill men.

.
Well, that's what you get when you link to patriacentric waiting-room magazines where the article titles (if not the articles themselves) are written by interns under orders to be catchy.

I will bet that that magazine is published by the same publishing house that puts out Styrofoam Today and The American Strip Miner, and Muffler Monthly, and the same staff hacks write the articles for all four of them. Notice that this one was not written by Dr. Bill Phillips, M.D.
