I got the Copper IUD a couple of months ago and I like it so far. The only problem is my husband can feel the wires and they've even made red marks on him. My doctor said the heat of your body will make the wires curl up a bit. Does anyone know how long before that starts to happen? For anyone that has had this problem, was your doc able to cut the strings a bit more? Thanks for any advice.

Yes, strings can easily be trimmed. In fact, if they are causing injury, your doc should have been happy to do that long ago.
