What is normal for a diabetic is not "normal" for someone without diabetes.
A normal Fasting Blood sugar is 70-100 ( really less than 100, once you get to 100 you are getting into the pre-diabetes stage)
Non Fasting Blood sugar should be below 145.
To the OP, if you or your husband are concerned you should get a fasting blood sugar drawn by your physician
