So I have some gray/white hairs starting to appear and I want them to go away. From a distance they are not apparent but up close they are quite visible.

Is there anything I can simply comb into my hair so that they are not so obvious?

Or do I need a full dye treatment? I don't want to do that just yet.

I do find when my hair is wet the whiteish hairs are not visible.

Thanks,
Chris

you could use a good & natural Henna product.

I just started using Naturcolor hair color. it covers grays well and you can mix just a little at a time. downside is is you keep it on your hair for 45 minutes.

What color is your hair? If its brown its really easy to cover. Just get a dye that says "will not lighten hair" in a brown lighter than your natural color. It will make the white hairs look blonde/light brown. Don't go with darker shades. Girl or guy its usually not flattering to go dark with age. And guys can look weird with hair colored too darkly.

Real henna has a red tone. If you have red in your hair naturally I would use that. Plus you can mix it as you need it if you have just the basic powder. Research what healthy henna is vs. faux hennas. You can not put certain colors over hennas.

Another option is to use a tinted glaze. That looks really natural if your hair will take it.

Go to any beauty supply store and they will have these little mascara like tubes of color you just comb in when ever you want cover. It's not hair dye, just temporary color. I use it when I want to cover the few greys I see coming in.. Plucking gets painful after a while.

Plucking can make you bald too. It scars the follicle.

My hair is medium brown. Thanks for the suggestions! I will check them out.

I know about going too dark. I had a coworker who dyed his hair totally black (was originally black but graying) and it looked awful. But then, I know a girl who dyed her hair from light brown to jet-black and it looked gorgeous :-)

I love Natural Instinct...by Clairol. It's a "semi-permanent" color...washes out after about 3 weeks (on me!) they say 26 washes....
It's easy, leaves your hair really shiny and comes with a fabulous conditioner.
Go for 1 shade lighter than your natural color. It won't "bleach" anything, but if you go darker than your normal color, it may not wash out as quickly.
So far, it's covered my grays just fine...and I have alot of them!!!!
