For a number of health reasons, I will like to switch my current Anti-Perspirant, Mitchum to a product that does not contain aluminium. I have reacted to this product in the past and I think aluminium was a major cause of it.

My problem is that I can't seem to find any non-aluminium deodorants which also control sweating. Many take care of the smell of BO, but nothing really does a good job of controlling sweating.

Have any of you had any luck finding deodorants/anti perspirants that don't contain aluminium and also control sweating?

Thank you

If you want to control sweating, i'm of no help as i would never prevent that very natural and very important bodily function.
If you're a woman, i'd suggest doing some research about antiperspirants and breast health.
However, there are many very effective deodorants that are aluminum free.
If you are not near a health food store (where you'll find a large selection), just google natural deodorants and you'll see how many products are available.
I like the Jason line of deodorants.

I use a deodorant crystal and it works very well for me. As far as sweating, I don't put myself in a position to sweat much, so I don't really have a huge problem with that.

You can try botox shots, they stop sweating, from what I'm told.

If you are a walking biohazard, try some of these in your armpit.

Do you mean perspiring? Perspiring is natural and should not be offensive if you have used a deodorant.

I use Tom's of Maine Lavender aluminum-free deodorant. I love the smell, but they come in other fragrances including unscented. After a shower, I usually dust my pits with a little coconut deodorant powder from Lush. Love the smell and it helps control wetness. Then I put the stick deodorant on once I'm dressed and ready to go.

On those super hot days that I know I will be sweating a lot, I'll opt for a regular antiperspirant/deod. like Degree. That is very rare though.

I use the crystal deodorant. While it does contain aluminum, it is not the same as what is found in most OTC deodorant/antiperspirants.

I have to combine most of those with a powder to stay dry. Maybe try that?

The aluminum connection to Az is tentative at best. If you eat baked foods, chances are you are getting hundreds of times the amount of aluminum from the double-acting baking powder than in an antiperspirant.

Incorrect!! There is no causal relationship between aluminum and alzheimers disease. Even the Alzheimer's Association knows and admits this.
