Conservatively speaking Greek philosophy "lasted" right up to the time that I clicked on this thread? "Greek" philosophy is very much a part of contemporary western thought. Any other homework we can help with?
Some of it is still relevant to this day. However much of Greek philosophy took flack from Christianity. Funny thing is that Christianity borrowed heavily from Greek philosophy. When Christianity grew throughout the Greek speaking parts of the Roman Empire, Greek thought and thinking began to be suppressed by Roman Emperor's like Theodesius the 2nd and later Emperor Justinian who closed the philosophy school schooling Athens. Greek knowledge was preserved by the Muslims who conquered Greek speaking parts of the Roman Empire known as the Byzantine Empire.
