What do you mean RIP? Until Italian Americans leave the US as a whole then this side of the US isn't over. Or do you mean that the mob has killed off the immigrant dream after all these years of denial?

Mob? Did you know Northern Europeans have no lesser a percentage of criminality in their societies than Southern Europeans?

Are you refering to the old neighborhood in NY or something ? We have plenty of Italians in city government here, they make good businessmen, politicans ect. What loss are you refering to ?

I think alot of Italian American culture is pretty much gone.
I dont see groups like Sons of Italy being around to much longer either.
