BATH, England, March 28 (UPI) -- A World War II-era German military pilot says Bath, England, officials have agreed to allow him to visit the city and apologize for Nazi air raids.
Willi Schludecker, 87, said his final wish in life is to have the opportunity to apologize for his participation in air raids that killed more than 400 people in Bath, The Sun reported Friday.
Apology is appropriate when you have done something wrong. I don't think this is the case.
His and many other soldiers'(including Americans, Russians, Brits, Japanese etc) only fault was to be born in the wrong time and in the wrong place. Someone should rather apologize them for all the sacrifices they did. Unfortunately no one ever will.

I agree with that. Had the man said to his commander, "I refuse to bomb a British city," you can bet that he would have been shot forthwith.
I agree ;he just did what other soldiers did in bad times. Their are alot of others that went far beyond their duty to country tho in committting crimes.
That man has nothing to be sorry for. He was fighting for a righteous cause, if england would have kept its nose in there own buisness it would have never happened.

Another screwball.
