Does anyone keep a daily journal? I don;t mean a blog, I wouldn't want to expose my orivate life online, just something to jot down daily activities, etc.

So, is there some sort of software for journal keeping? My handwriting is terrible!

There is tons of software for this but I use a private online service so I can use it from any computer: Write In Private: Free Online Diary And Personal Journal | Penzu

Here's some software options but I have no idea what they're like:
Journal Software - LifeJournal - Free Trial Downloadable
Free Diary Software/Journal Software - Efficient Diary - Free Download
Journal software and diary software for personal and business use - Keep a private electronic journal or electronic diary with Alpha Journal.
My Journal - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Here's a whole list of some with ratings: Journal Software Reviews and Downloads,Office Software

This one is another online journal which looks professional but the registration link doesn't work: PrivateJournals.com: Free online diary & depression resources and information

I have often wished my family members who immigrated to the country in the late 1800's and early 1900's had kept more comprehensive journals. tough to piece together info on just family bibles with tree histories in them.

I write at least once a week into a journal and more if things are really interesting that week. Hopefully future generations will find this helpful. Plus I wanted my Great Grandkids to have something to learn about this time in our family.

I actually started in 1989 after watching Doogie Howser of all things. LMAO.

I have also been recreating my life up until that time. To bad I did not get into this habit when I was a kid.

Thanks for the replies!

I did keep a diary of sorts through email correspondence with a friend, but got out of that habit. we would just chat about our day, what we had for dinner, exchange recipies, talk about coupons, specials, etc. In looking back it does give a lot of insight into my day-to-day activities.

I would prefer something that others can't access. I would write one, but my handwriting is terrible, even I can't read it. also, in the past, any time I've kept a diary people always find it and read it, that's one reason I quit doing so. I just want something private, for my own sake, not to "share' with busy bodies!

If you want to write it yourself and have no one find it I would use Word pad (one of Microsofts accessories) and encrypt it when I finished writing at the end of the day. There is also a way you can hide it in plain sight more or less and no one will find it.
