Hmm... sorry guys, not sure what's going on. I can see the subscription comment sometimes, and sometimes not - and can read the whole article... So strange...
I found the same article reprinted here: http://www.buyeastsidehomes.com/blog...ends-for-2017/
I read the article. Here's what I did: I copied the title and then pasted it in the google search box. It brought the article up with a an advert for subscription. I Xd the box away, and then read the article. You can do this with any WSJ article.
I think the article is meaningless for most of us here. And I think it is probably meaningless in general.
If you love reclaimed wood, by all means use it. If you love pink, use that. Its your house; decorate it to please yourself.
I do think there is a place for articles that highlight new uses of materials, or innovative color schemes, or that point to new products. I think most of us do participate in style to some extent. But I think the WSJ article is shallow and does not lead to new understanding of trends.

That is still giving me the sign in or sign up option with no x to close.
Not a big deal. Just do as silibran details and the article comes right up and x out the ad box.
This article should be posted in the 'Hate open concepts' thread that is currently ongoing. This should make them very happy
Maybe now builders will start giving options for the closed off kitchen concept. I personally like the open concept and my new build is open concept. You can't see the kitchen when you walk in the front door but is still open to the living and dining rooms.
I love my new house
