Gray is my favorite gray so I am very familiar with gray. I stand by my opinion that this particular shade of gray looks far more beige than gray. If someone likes it more power to 'em.

That's fine. I'm just telling you it isn't beige. It's still too gray to even be greige. It's a warm gray. Only in the context of a cooler gray will you see the warmth, but to most people it still reads as gray.

This is Agreeable Gray below.
That photo looks like the shade we desire. Lowes sells their (Sherwin Williams) paint and it is about $15 a gallon more than Color Place, Vaspar, etc. but worth the cost. Thanks.
If I may make a suggestion from someone that moved from builder's white to "mystical gray" in apartment - be sure there is natural light coming in. The north sides of living room are DARK. So, I installed a cheapo chandelier in center to replace old fan. One pole lamp by sectional. Table lamp on well, a table/desk. Even though there are windows that face east - in the late afternoon it gets dark. the living room is way too dark.
I am considering a repaint for spring. My furniture is white. fireplace surround white. carpet is dark. walls will be lighter.
I repainted gray hallway in white, for th lighting is not that great. LOVE THE WHITE. Painted everything white in bathroom to bring in natural light. *the gray is there, too. Not too bad tho. Vanity is now white, shower curtain, etc. which helped.
I really love natural light. (My gray is a little too dark where there is no NL--natural light). on the chip it is a nice accent color. not for massive walls in a room with dark carpet, in my opinion.

Any of the DIYs can match SW colors.
