Help put my first living room together! (curtains, color, couch)

Hello guys, I hope everyone is having a great day! I have a little bit of a decoration dilemma. I have a chocolate brown sectional that i love! but i has been a little hard to decorate around. I was thinking about making my own curtains so i have two stencils i like but i am not sure which one to get. I dont want it to a lot of pattern but i am not afraid to try it! All curtains will be a gray color and the pop color will be an orangy color! Do you think any of this curtains will work great with the rug and the sofa?

I think either the first of second pic of the curtains would look nice. I think the couch is ''too heavy'' for sheer curtains, if that makes any sense.
