Any experiences or recommendations? Local big box stores are saying a 45 day turn around + ship time, but blinds.com is showing they can make them in 5 days. Has anyone ordered theirs from them? Any other major online retailer I should check out? TIA!

Turn around time can vary depending on vendor. But it can also very depending on material. PVC can usually be a bit faster because no painting is involved. But wood type require priming, sanding, and painting- hence the extended time. And very few actually "pre-make"- its "order/build.

And considering that windows come in relatively standard sizes- go figure! They usually offer three or four paint colors- standard. PVC is well- white.

It's a racket- anyway you look at it!

Another big fan of Budget Blinds here, I have had both cellular shades and wooden blinds from them for several years and am extremely pleased. In fact I just spoke with my rep the other day about ordering ones for our new home.

I ordered mine from a shutter store (FL). I wanted a store with total expertise in plantation shutters. It was too important to me to try to cut corners on cost. As it turned out, I think mine look way nicer than friends' who used Home Depot.

Yes, they are based in Houston. We used them online as there is no showroom as far as I know. My husband put them together pretty easily and they look great. It was much cheaper than Home Depot or lowes.
