I'm talking about interior doors. Usual interior doors are some shade of white or sometimes wood. I've been in a home where they were all painted black. I'm more interested in the occasional interior door painted a color. I was in a home where the inside of the front door, the door leading into the garage and the door leading to the porch we all painted a beachy color. Not aqua but most likely SW Sea Salt which is that grayish green blue color. I was also in a home where the pantry door was painted a robins egg blue color and then it had glass inserts in it (didn't care for those as they were clear glass and you could see inside the pantry). Curious what everyone's thoughts are.

I've seen them, and have had a few customers over the years request it.

Not opposed to it- just depends on the color, color of trim, wall color, and decor.

An easy way to add personality without a huge commitment like painting a wall or room.

depending on ones decor colored painted doors can and probably would look nice.
not everyone likes white doors, I for one do not like painted white doors at all.
All my doors are the regular 6 panel wood, but they are stained a chocolate brown, and match my decor.

I've started painting my interior doors a soft black. Mostly because everything else is light. I was shocked at how much I liked it. I couldn't commit at first so I started with the interior of the front door. Lived with it for awhile, received compliments, etc. so I'm moving on to the other doors now. It really adds a lot of character and for my home that's needed as it doesn't have much.

Painted doors are a nice way to add a pop of personality to a room. It makes a door look a little less builder's grade. And it's easy to repaint if you get tired of the color.

I have white trim and like white doors. But I would look at colorful doors in someone else's house and think they look great.

All of our doors and trim are painted with French Roast. The walls are Ice Cube. It makes a nice contrast. We have two double doors between two rooms that we painted two shades of blue (to match our molding).

This what I think too. I would like to paint the interior side of my front door and of the door into my garage a blue. Haven't gotten very far with this, but I think the doors would look nice painted.
