1. When I'm stopped at a light or in park, it makes a rumbling sound from the engine on the driver side. If I'm in drive it's fine.
2. When I drive over 60mph it makes a kind of vibrating noise, but nothing inside the car is vibrating.
3. Has a tough time getting up even smaller hills.
4. Sometimes it takes a few seconds before it turns over when started.
Do you think these problems are transmission and maybe alternator or starter problems? DO I need a tune up? I've only had the car for two years so I've been trying to replace parts a little at a time. Trying to figure out why it's making all these noises and if' there is something I can do to help it before taking it off to the mechanic.

Please help! All suggestions are appreciated
Raven, I'm in shock that you do not own a German car!lol
German cars are great just not when it comes to reliability. We haven't had any major issues with our E60 5 Series (just a sun roof that didn't want to close so I had to reprogram it) but I've had friends with issues and heard more than enough stories to be wary. We got a 530i and avoided the 535 because the turbo charged 3 liter is known for a variety of issues including the notorious fuel pump failures.
Sounds like typical noises of an 11 year old vehicle. Go more into detail about it having problems going uphill. I think we need a little more info. How many miles does it have? stick or auto?
That doesn't sound at all like anything typical. Maybe typical of a poorly maintained vehicle but any car that's functioning normally does not sound like that. For instance, my 1995 Nissan 300ZX sounded pretty much brand new before I sold it in 2007.
itslikeanegg is right, my last post was stupid. 11 years aint even the break in point for a Civic. Get it checked out.
