Problems: cracked old radiator; leaking new radiator
I replaced a bad old radiator. The new one is leaking too. I did a radiator pressure test and saw coolant leaking from the bottom as pressure dropped quickly.
Car is not overheating (per temperature gauge). I have been driving the car like this for about a week now and need to add a little coolant to the overflow tank everyday.
Would, say a stuck closed thermostat, cause the radiator overheat and crack/fail?
Could a car be overpressurized to the point of causing the radiator to fail/crack?
Are you certain of where it's coming from? Did you replace the hoses as well as the radiator?
Yes I replaced the hoses. I am certain the leak is from the radiator.
