I am in the market for a used Honda Odyssey, and since they are still a desirable van to buy compared to Chrysler, how much can I expect to get off a list price? I know this question is hard to answer but wanted to know if anyone could share their recent experiences with buying used Honda and how much could you get them to come down? I want to be realistic as I do my research. Also, I can look in Charlotte NC or Tampa FL, is there a difference in the markets of these two cities? Thanks!!!
Say a 2005 EX-l in excellent condition having maintenance records at 60'000 miles expect to pay like 18500 for it from a indivdual. Also realise that most sites list the Odyssey has a most wanted as far a used vehicles;so don;t let a few hundred let a goos on get away IMO.
Hi, I am far from an expert on this subject. But just a quick FYI. My cousin bought this mv and loves it, but be aware of the Run Flat tires. My cousin got a deal because her van needed new tires. Hear they are upwards of $200 a piece to replace.
Google the term "Haggle Free Dealer Worksheet" to find this worksheet and print a copy to take to the dealership with you. This worksheet compells the sales person to give you his best price right upfront without all of the haggling. Make sure the salesperson understands, you WILL be visiting other dealerships as well.
[quote=Jesse69;9592091]You might find some insight from a Honda Odyssey forum. And some members b.itch at how bad fuel economy they get on an EX-L too!
See OdyClub Forums - powered by vBulletin[/quoI have to say if they are bitching about the mileage they are use to a car not a van. I get 21 with eqaul in town and highway driving. But then driving is always part of the key to mileage. Its not going to get Accord mile with the increased drag.As far as reliabilty its known for that but you can always find a person with problems on any vehicle.Yes even dealers warn about run flat tires but its the tires as they have rpoblems with all car on wear.
Not sure, but about a month ago, there was a 2006 Odyssey here for sale locally for only $7500! Not sure what the deal was as to why it was so cheap, but it was stated to run/drive perfect. Not spam either, as that was paid local classified site. If I was in the market for a van, I would have bought it!
I have been looking for a used mini-van. A 2006 Odyssey sells for around $18,000, a Toyota Sienna is around $16,000 and the Kia Sedona is around $13,000. In many of the reviews I have read the Kia is rated just behind the Honda and the price difference is significant. My only problem is that I haven't been able to find the Kia anywhere in my area. Having owned a 2000 Camry since it was new loving the car I will probably have to go with the Sienna unless I find a super buy for an Odyssey.
