I have an Amana fridge, model # SRD528VW. The icemaker works, but it drips over the edge, into the hopper/storage bin, which ultimately creates a block of ice. Help?

Usually there is a cover (or just a little plastic piece that you pull off to get to the adjustment screw) you can take off the front of the ice-maker and a water level adjustment screw will be there so that you can control the size of your ice cubes.

Though some icemakers do have a level adjustment screw, this very rarely is the culprit.
In most cases it's the fill tube that comes through the fridge body or the solenoid valve.
The fill tube gets misaligned or partially frozed, diverting water directly into the cube bin. The solenoid valve just gets old and doesn't completely stop the flow of water.

Thank you. Does it mean that the solenoid valve has to be replaced? Where is it located?

One more question please. In case the level adjustment screw is the solution, do I reduce
The amount of water by turning the adjusment screw clockwise or counter clockwise and
How many turns? Thanks again.

Good luck - I tried all that with my Amana and the thing continued to leak. I even had a couple of repairmen out who tried the same stuff, replaced a couple of parts. Still leaked and even started leaking into the freezer. Ended up buying a new fridge - a French door LG with compact icemaker. Couldn't be happier. But really, good luck with the fixes - it's a big headache when stuff like this happens.

Beats the Hell outta me!
Find out what model icemaker goes in that fridge then look for a pdf of the manual on the 'net.

Sometime the tray is not level, but, you could see that easily. Front to back, side to side.
The above post referring to a cover on the front of the ice maker is correct: it is a pain to snap off, but, one you do it a couple times you get the knack. The adjustment is going to be pretty obvious. You will see a spring loaded screw and it will have plus minus signs and arrows indicating which way to turn the screw. The minus sign means less of course. I recommend leaving the front cover off and turning the screw a few times to see if it helps. You may only need to make half or quarter turn adjustments, a full turn is a lot, but, you can try two for starters.
I am sorry for the person that resorted to buying a new fridge and I feel that way myself sometimes. I just make a small tweak from time to time and it seems to be OK for quite a while, then it drips again,,grrrr.
