One more question. I wanted to get 2 coach lights installed at the entrance of house and couple of extra recess can lights in bedroom but builder is charging
- $280 per coach light = $560
- $150 per recess light = $300
Do you guys think it is worth spending this much or this is something I could get done for cheaper later?
I have a brick house so I am not sure if I could get coach lights installed on brick later or not.
Also, I already have 2 coach lights installed on the garage. Not sure how much difference 2 more lights would make on the entrance.
Put the lights in. I have coach type lights on either side of my front door. I also have recessed can lights in my halls and the master bedroom. This will save on light fixtures, and they work well.
You are talking a very small addition to your new home price.
Having it built for you means it is customized to your needs. So, make it custom.
The house HAS TO HAVE at least ONE light at the front door.
So, to charge you for TWO is BS!!! But you're the one who has to "sale it" to the builder-
$150 for a recessed can is reasonable.
