Looking to pick up a portable/room size dehumidifier - 50-70 pint. When I was a kid my parents had one that had a compressor in it that actually would put out cool air. That is the type I would ideally like to get.

Been looking briefly online but most reviews state the amount of hot air they put out....is there actually one that will put out cool air, and anything to look for on them.

The main reason for getting one is my dog has a bad heart and with the high humidity we get in the summer gives him some issues....

a "dehumidifier" that puts out COOL air, is called an air conditioner...

Same device, just setup slightly different with it's controls is used as a dehumidifier.

The only diff is the AC uses a tube to release the hot air outside - you need to have a window for this tube to go to.
