The mark on the glass or on the spacer tells you who made the glass pack; the window company should be marked on the frame somewhere; mine's on the upper frame above the upper sash as Jonah mentions. If the window company is still around they should be able to make a replacement sash (for a price) with a new glass pack even if the window is out of warranty.
There are many companies that used to do this. They would drill a hole, epoxy on a valve, inject some alcohol mix. drain it then pull a vacuum on the window to remove all the moisture, then put some argon in. I had it done a few times on some big patio doors. Worked great.
i think i am the only person that hates double pane glass. They seals always break and you get the steam in between the glass.
My apartment had steamed windows and the window company had long since gone out of business, gee wonder why?
anyway, we have a place called "window fix", they come in and measure the sash and the thickness as well, and a few days later I had all new glass in my windows.................nice and crystal clear.....lets hope they last because they are expensive to replace.
like another poster said vinyl windows come a dime a dozen, but in my case since it is an apartment building, all the windows have to match from the outside and our building has the bronze color which i really like from the inside, as it matches my decor...
